Vibration

BEV uses laserinterferometry to calibrate vibration pickups.

The pick-ups to be calibrated are activated by a vibration generator to produce sinusoidal oscillations at different frequencies. Subsequently, the vibration pickup converts the emanating vibrations proportionally into electric voltage. The oscillation is measured by laserinterferometry, the electric signal is measured traceable to the voltage standard.

Accelerometers used in industry, civil engineering and workers protection (hand-arm-accelerometers) additionally undergo a system check (signal sensor and signal analysis).
